Permanent Clarity, Customised Freedom
Our approach is highly individualised. We specialise in a full spectrum of advanced, implantable solutions, including Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL), and Add-on Lenses, ensuring we select the most appropriate, age-specific procedure to deliver your ideal visual outcome.
Why Choose Our Specialists?

Our focus is on precision, safety, and long-term clarity, ensuring you receive the highest standard of care for growths on the surface of your eye.

Total Vision Customisation

We utilise one of the largest ranges of premium lenses and surgical options in NZ to provide glasses-free vision tailored to your age and needs

Near-to-Distance Freedom
Eliminate dependency on glasses for all tasks, from driving to reading small print, using advanced presbyopia-correcting lenses (Multifocal or EDoF IOLs).
Optimal Night Vision
Choose lenses that provide exceptional clarity for distance tasks while maximising performance in low-light conditions.
Specialist Lens Technology
We use the most up-to-date lens technology to correct astigmatism simultaneously with your shortsightedness or longsightedness.
Age-Appropriate Solutions (Options by Age)

Your ideal treatment depends on the natural state of your eye. We offer options that preserve your natural focusing ability when appropriate, or provide a permanent, preventative solution when lens replacement is indicated.

Typically Under 55 (Implanted Collamer Lenses - ICL)
This is a reversible procedure that retains the eye's natural focusing ability while correcting mild to severe shortsightedness, longsightedness, and astigmatism. We also have access to presbyopia-correcting ICLs to restore reading vision. This retains the natural structure of the cornea, as no laser reshaping is required.
Typically Over 50 (Refractive Lens Exchange - RLE)
RLE is often referred to as early cataract surgery. It is a permanent solution where the natural lens is replaced with a premium intraocular lens (IOL). This restores excellent near and distance vision and prevents future cataract formation in later life. For patients over 50, RLE is generally the superior option. Traditional laser correction for this age group is typically a temporary solution that requires most patients to return to glasses within a few years. It also often results in monovision (where one eye is set for distance and the other for reading), which causes loss of depth perception and leaves vision blurry at intermediate range. Laser surgery can also exacerbate dry eye and carries a small risk of corneal warpage, leading to a permanent decrease in vision.
Post-Cataract (Add-on Lenses)
These are custom-designed lenses implanted after previous surgery to fine-tune residual errors, eliminating the need for glasses that may result from older or simpler lens implants.

Beyond Cataract: Complex Needs, Custom Solutions

We have the technology and expertise to find a solution for complex eye histories and combined conditions:

Previous Laser Correction (LASIK/PRK)

Changes in corneal shape from prior laser surgery require specialised OCT scanning and advanced calculation formulas to plan successful RLE or ICL surgery.

Keratoconus/Irregular Astigmatism

We offer tailored options, including corneal cross-linking for stability, Intracorneal Ring Segments for reshaping, and ICL/RLE with special formulae to address complex vision loss.

Residual Errors

If you have residual refractive error following earlier cataract surgery, we offer custom Add-on intraocular lenses or simple in-clinic laser enhancement to instantly correct your vision without further major surgery.

Ocular Trauma

We offer complex restorative surgery, often involving replacing damaged parts of the cornea, iris, or lens. Treatment may be covered by ACC.
